Bali weekend getaway

Without realising, i have been working in the same company for 22 months. But honest saying, i am not close with most of the colleague and always there is negative view toward finance department of every company because we block people claims and we disapprove people's sponsorship forms and etc. and also because we demand all the original copies and we follow all the SOP and no belas kasihan.. LOL

This is not the 1st event that exposing me toward the whole organisation staff. Yearly we will have 2 annual meetings, the kick off meeting. But as the name of the event ryhme, meeting mean official working meeting, we did not have the chance to meet around. 

It wasn a pleasant vacation since we are suppose to go to japan instead of Bali. But since it is free trip, we did not say anything lar. Bali bali lor.. just wanted to find a chance to hang around with colleagues. Just a little sad that we did not go as a whole company. We are split into 2. I went with the bigger group lar.

  We reach Bali about 4pm to 5pm like that i think. I know we are meeting for dinner at about 6pm. So we are a bit rushing back to the room and bath and change =) The theme for the dinner is batik or flora night. Most of us are pretty obedient as we were there with flora and batik wears. Of course there are some naughty people that did not follow the dress-code. Well, dun care them as long as the rest of us have fun am i right?
The dinner is special as the restaurant is fully booked by Roche Diagnostics (M) Sdn Bhd. There is the welcoming dance and welcoming drink. Exploring around the restaurant showing us all the traditional gambling games. Then we were seated at the main hall. Imagining that we are in the olden days where palace is the main building. We are in the palace and we acted like the Kings and the King's wife or even the VIP guests. We are sitting in the middle of an empty ground, with a canopy in the middle. Grand canopy. With tables nicely decorate inside the canaopy. Then in front of the canopy there is a huge stage where it is use to entertain all the diners. That is how warmly welcome we are. Of course this warmly welcome is paid off by our company. Haha..

  The dinner is okla. Not to say too great as everything is grilled and spicy. Well, it was suppose to be special. Therefore, the dinner is serve super slowly. Haha.. the dishes only come out like half and hour once. The tour guide explain that the reason they do so is for us to enjoy the magnificient local performance. Just because the dinner is spread until late at night. I am obidient on the 1st night. I sleep once i reach hotel to have another energetic day the next day..
I did not share with you guys on the hotel we are staying in Bali yet. We stayed in Grand Hyatt at Nusa Dua. The hotel and the place is beautiful. It is as big as a mini town. With it's own shopping complex inside. surrounding is all the 5 stars hotel and Grand Hyatt is one of them. They own a private beach and few facilities. The hotel have 4 swimming pools and have 3 restaurants for us to dine for the breakfast in the morning. Well, thank god that we have 3 days, so we ate in each restaurant a day =) Now about the room. Obviously as soon as we walk into the room, we know that this is suppose to be a honeymoon suite. With no lock at the bathroom and with window and transparent glass for the bathroom. A bit shy to stay with someone we are not close with. Therefore, i seriously thankful that my roommate is Bay =)
So, the 1st day in Bali, we visited a temple called Ayun temple. The place is small but the historical part is that the temple is dunno how many hundred years old. I am forgetful =)

  After the temple visiting, we boarded wolkwagen to go for our lunch. This is interesting as it will be a great experience for me. I mean, i would never you know get my butt into this car if i were travelling myself. Well, it sound great when they say that we having a tour in wolkwagen. Definitely you are thinking that it is going to be a great car and comfy is another adjedtive that i will think of when i see the itinery. Well, the truth is that the wolkwagen ride did not have air-conditioning and it can open the roof. But the Weather that time is pretty warm and the Mr. Sun is there greeting us. But still, as a young girl, i find it challenging and it is ok if we get a lil darker =)

 After the lunch, We went to the tasik something. Shitty wei, i forget all the name. Some tasik with such name. Walk around and take picture is what we do a lot. Then, we climb back to the same car and we visited tanah lot =) Well, just because i was there once, i love the place a lot. i feel that the view and scenery is magnificient. It is heart-throbbing. I really like the view. Well, if for me to sit there and spent my whole evening, looking at the view and do some reading. I think i do not mind =) Well, the gang that i hang with did not wanna go to the temple and they wanted to go shopping more. So they forgo the temple and go shopping. Well, if i have not have the chance to visit it yet, i definitely would not mind to walk the temple myself =) But since i had, i join them shopping =)
After Tanah Lot, We head for our dinner at the famous Jimbaran. It is a place where we have dinner by the seaside. Of course, the main attraction is having our dinner together with the sunset view. Nothing special on the dinner of course. It is grilled seafood and it is dark where we hardly able to see anything on the plate they served us =)

That is not the end of the 1st night. Since it is a saturday night, we visited Kuta Town that night. We visited HardRock Cafe. Well, we drink and dance there. obviously i am the youngest there and i only have 3 gulps throughout the night. But i did join the fun and dance and chat and see people. Of course, no handsome there for me to pikat. Haha..
The 2nd day is not as happening as the 1st day. Early in the morning, they brought us to Ubud market. Well, it is another place for shopping of course. After the shopping would be the lunch arrangement. Crispy duck which they call it bebek in Bali. The duck is ok but in order to eat the duck, we have to pass the monkey forest. Scary pls. One of the colleague, Lynn, her bag was robbed by the monkey. It is a hard lunch =(

 After the lunch, we were split into 2. Half of us go for Spa and the other half shopping. Our group get to shopping 1st then spa next. Well, i wouldn say the spa is great cause i remember the last time i go is better. I get to choose the spa that i want. If i didn remember it wrongly. We choose the volcano scrub cause it is special. Anyway, we just get normal scrub and the smell is irritating as it is strawberry and goat milk. No matter how i scrub the smell is there. Well, another great news is, i was suppose to share a room someone. And we have to be nude in the room. Luckily Bay is nice to me. We were avoiding each other and when we share the same tub, it is really nice of her to back to back with me =)

After the spa, we ber-tolak for our dinner. Tonight, the dinner is great. The place is awesome. Grand and nice. It would be great if we were there with partner wei. Anyway, we go back hotel and sleep early to welcome the last day we are going to be in Bali. Of course that night we have a mini party in my room. The tour leader bought me another local famous delicacies, babi guling. So i invited few people and we enjoy it. Well, the babi guling is not so nice. Feel weird weird actually.. haha..  The next day i was suppose to get up early for the sunrise, but some accident happen and i did not get up. And i miss my date. Haha.. Nevermind, end up i have breakfast with him =)
I still got up early. Went to the beach at 7am. There we play volleyball, the beach and the pool. Well, during the volleyball match is the time i show my skills. Haha. Am just joking lar. They were all pretty skillful player. Of course i am a viewer at 1st. Then i enter the match 2nd round. Well, the other group win and they were pretty proud. Of course i will excel a little since i played for school before. It surprise them. Haha. I still manage to serve the ball really nice. proud of myself =) totally change their impression toward me =)

Anyway, after the match we go to the sea and go to the pool before finally going up the room, bath and change and head back to malaysia. It is a wonderful trip. Not to mean on the itinery but on what i did there and people i have met.

You know, throughout the trip, people know the real me. I was of course quiet and serious when i am working. there are so many of them that say i do not seem like the me in the office. Apparently they say i am in the center of attention throughout the trip. Well, i should say that i didn only grab attention but i am also the laughstock of my company.  (=.=) Pengsan a not? haha..
After the trip, i feel happier.. This is true when they say we need vacation to release our stress and a vacation theraphy seem working to me =)
